I have a love for quotes and words that help express how I feel. Sometimes my thoughts get lost inside my mind, and in order to adequately express the things I believe, I need a little help from someone much more wise and knowledgable than I am...Someone who can create deep sentences and eloquent phrases in order to organize thoughts and feelings to make sense. I love when I come across a quote that is exactly something I feel or believe, and it just....stays with me. Or when I find one that helps me finally understand a concept I have been trying to figure out. Or, when it simply makes me smile...or cry...or laugh...Quotes help me express who I am.
From Email April 5th About Conference
I LOVED all of the talks, it's way too hard to choose a favorite...but President Uchtdorf's was really touching. I am bearing my testimony almost every day to the people we teach, and I often mention how the gospel brings LIGHT into my life. I thrive on light. It makes me happy and uplifts me when I'm down. The sunshine makes me so happy, and I love being in brightly lit rooms...but the physical light I see and feel, is only a tiny glimpse of the Light I feel from my Savior. His light shines brightest, and illuminates even the darkest times. "God's light is real! It is available to ALL!" :)
From Email March 4th 2013: poem by Meade McGuire:"Father, where shall I work today?"
and my love flowed warm and free.
Then He pointed out a tiny spot
And said: "Tend that for me."
I answered quickly, "Oh no; Not that!
Why, no one would ever see,
I answered quickly, "Oh no; Not that!
Why, no one would ever see,
No matter how well my work was done;
Not that little place for me."
And the word He spoke, it was not stern;
He answered me tenderly:
"Ah, little one, search that heart of thine.
Art thou working for them or for me?
Nazareth was a little place,
And the word He spoke, it was not stern;
He answered me tenderly:
"Ah, little one, search that heart of thine.
Art thou working for them or for me?
Nazareth was a little place,
And so was Galilee."
Reading this talk reminded me of a quote I once heard at a fireside. Someone said:
"Anonymity purifies our motives."
"Anonymity purifies our motives."
"I have a Testimony of the plan that Heavenly Father has for our families. I know that through the Atonement, I will be able to joke and laugh with Grandma again someday. Until then, I will put my whole heart into helping others understand the truth that I know...that families can be together forever." -Sis. Hyer

Jenna's Favorites She listed before she left:
"There are two kinds of one: We love wise, kind, and beautiful people because we need them. We love, or try to love, stupid and disagreeable people because they need us. this second kind is the more divine because that is how God loves us. Not because we are lovable, but because he is love; not because He needs to receive, but because He delights to give." CS Lewis
"The best way to make a permanent change for good is to to make Jesus Christ your model and His teachings your guide for life." Elder Richard G. Scott
"Don't give up what you want most for what you want right now."
"He has the capacity to communicate love that is so powerful, so overwhelming as to surpass the capacity of the human tongue to express adequately. He gave His life to break the bonds of death. His Atonement made fully active the plan of happiness of His Father in Heaven." Richard G Scott
"If the Lord tells you something, you are safe in doing it."
"The difference between God and the devil is that God creates and organizes, while the whole study of the devil is to destroy." Brigham Young
"You don't know everything....but you know enough."
